Rotary – March 10, 2017 – Brian Newton – Community Solar Farm

Dear Rotarians,

It seems like we’ve had a tough time getting Bob Roesch to the podium to host a speaker.  Initially this week he was scheduled to host Nebraska State Senator Lynn Walz.   That fell through at the last minute, but fortunately our own Rotarian Brian Newton, manager of the Department of Utilities stepped in to fill the gap. Brian will be talking about the forth-coming Community Solar Farm as envisioned by the DU. Sounds like you can own a chunk of  it, if you so desire.

Brian, if you are unaware, has more than 30 years in utility management and along the way has picked up a BA from Concordia, an MBA from Ashland in Ohio and a Doctorate from Case Western.  Guess by now he pretty much knows what he is talking about when it comes to utility management.

He and his wife Michell come from the Wakefield area, have three children and three grandchildren; two of which were born in the last couple of months

Attendance has been poor the last few meetings, so how about making an effort to shed that RINO label.  Please also remember to line up a guest for Ag Day on the 17th.
