Dear Rotarian:
In the absence of President Gary the next 2 weeks, the second team (that’s me) will sub for him. Our host this week will be Shelly Sandeen and her program promises to be interesting and entertaining. Her presenter, Dawn Gilfry is one of the handlers for the Trinity Lutheran Church K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry and she will be bringing their Comfort Dog “Katie.” Katie has had over 2000 hours of K-9 service dog training and believe me she is the most laid back dog you’ve ever seen. Dawn and Katie, along with other handlers, have already been deployed several times around the community and country. Be sure to come as this surely will be interesting.
Down the road, remember that March 11th is Rotary Ag Day with Dr. Ronnie Green of UNL and each of you are asked to bring someone related to Ag (or not) as a guest. Remember to let Gary know if you are bringing a guest so the club can plan. See you this Friday!
