Shannon Mullen is the Marketing Director for the Dodge County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Shannon has 20 years of experience in the tourism industry. Prior to coming to Fremont, Shannon was employed by AAA Nebraska and Hilton Hotels in Omaha. At the Dodge County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Shannon manages strategic solicitation and sales of groups, organizations, and individuals to the attractions-dining, shopping, and accommodations-in the Fremont and Dodge County area. She is instrumental in developing successful projects that will capitalize on our community’s tourism potential to achieve greater lodging tax dollars for the county as a whole.
Shannon grew up and graduated high school in Shelby, Nebraska. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education from Wayne State and an Associate Degree in Business Management. She also taught a tourism course at the Lincoln School of Commerce. Shannon and her husband Tim, have three children. Shannon and Tom own Mullen Irrigation (automatic landscape sprinklers) in Omaha.
