Jody Horner was named the 16th President of Midland University on December 17, 2014 by the Midland Board of Directors. President Horner brings a unique perspective of small college roots and modern business leadership to the 130 year old institution. Ms. Horner came to Midland from a successful term as President of Cargill Meat Solutions and Cargill Case Ready. At the multi-billion corporation, Horner led more than 3,000 employees. She also championed the successful launch of the Cargill Innovation Center, a world-class destination for collaboration efforts by food scientists, microbiologists and culinary teams.
Ms. Horner is an active member of the Board of Regents of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota a residential college of more than 3,000 students. She also serves as Board Chair of the nation’s second largest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency in Kansas. President Horner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Olaf and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
