Friday, February 13th – Dave Goedeken – Director of Public Works – Fremont


Dave Goedeken is the Director of Public Works for Fremont.  Dave has been in this position for the past 6 months!  Dave Previously was the City Engineer in Columbus, and has spent most of his career in the Municipal Government and Engineering fields.  Prior to Columbus, Dave was the City Engineer for the City of Bellevue for 19 years.  Dave is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in the States of Nebraska and Iowa.

Dave’s duties at the City of Fremont include managing the Engineering Department and Street Department as well as acting as the City’s liaison for the Fremont Airport.  The Fremont Engineering Department is responsible for managing and supervising the engineering design of local projects in the Fremont area.  The Street Department maintains the City streets and storm water system.

Dave is a lifelong resident of Nebraska, he is originally from the Columbus area.  Dave attended Columbus Lakeview High School, and received his engineering education from Central Community College and the University of Nebraska Omaha Campus.  He is married with five children and 2 grandchildren.  In his spare time Dave enjoys woodworking, hunting and fishing.
