February 6th Program – Joe Trader – Hosted by Ollie Glass


February 6th speaker is Joe Trader.  Joe has worked hard the last 4 years getting the issue of equal custody rights noticed in Nebraska. After being denied equal custody in 2012 Trader has devoted his time to getting the issue of equal parenting rights in the public. By helping individuals find respected and affordable attorneys, mediators and education options, he has helped thousands of individuals during divorce and custody situations. His efforts can be seen in 3 legislative parenting time bills including this year’s LB 437, the 2015 child support guideline recommendations and several other family law media topics. Trader, a former Iraq war veteran and his business, The Nebraska Equal Parenting Association LLC has virtually changed the face of Nebraska’s family court system and bulldozed the way for reform.

A graduate from Bennington High school and a 2012 business major graduate from UNO. He served 3 years in the U.S Army from 2003-2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He serves on The Bennington City council planning commission who is currently developing a Veterans memorial site project in 2015. He is also a state certified mediator a part time personal trainer and is currently studying to obtain his mortgage license. He resides in Omaha and has a 4 year old daughter named Grace. He is plans to publish his first book this year, change his current business NEPA into a non- profit and begin teaching classes regarding constitutional rights in family courts.
