Dear Rotarians,

Need some welding done? Fremont High, through the Skills USA program is turning some out pretty great welders it seems. This Friday, Chuck Story will be hosting the program and 2016 graduate Hunter Gustafson will be presenting the program about the Fremont High program which is not just about welding and other professional skills training, but is a structured program about leadership, citizenship, and all the other attendant aspects of employability and success in the workplace and life. Hunter was a very involved student at Fremont High School, where he participated in football, track, and choir among other things. Hunter also excelled in the classroom. This young man has competed nationally and placed quite high in welding competition. He and his high school team recently placed fourth out of 36 in welding competition. I’m looking forward to hearing this young man talk to us about a skill which, probably, very few of us know much. Let’s learn together. See you Friday!
