Mayor Scott Getzschman – The State of the City

Our speaker today is our own Mayor, Scott Getzschman.  Scott is a partner in Getzschman Heating LLC, a Fremont and Eastern Nebraska Company of 56 years duration.  Scott has been President for the past 26 years.  Scott has served five years on the Fremont City Council and is in his sixth year as Mayor.

He has been involved with many community agencies including Midland University Trustees, Care Corps, Fremont Health Foundation Board, and YMCA Board.  Some of his current involvements include: Metropolitan Community College, Habitat for Humanity, United Way and Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District.  He is a member of the Fremont Cosmopolitan and Fremont Rotary clubs; and is a Trustee at Fremont Alliance Church.

Scott is a 1976 graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School and a 1978 graduate of Southeast Community College in Milford, where he graduated with honors.  Scott and his wife Judy, have five children: Jamie, Callie and Madison of Omaha; Andrew of Hooper, and Ryan of Fremont.
