Janell Tessari is hosting Shawn Shannahan from the United Way, & Claire Wray, Aquatics Director at the Fremont Family YMCA.
Our program today features the amazing contributions Fremont Rotary has made thanks to the members giving to the Rotary Foundation & their support of the clubs fundraisers throughout the year.
We will be presenting information from our International Project, Books on Wheels in Nayarit, MX. The district grant projects that have benefited our local community will also be featured. This includes: Bookfest with combined efforts of United Way & the Special Olympics and Learn-to-Swim aquatics programs @ the YMCA.
Janell Tessari (by default) has spearheaded these grants with the help of many Rotarians. Prior to ‘constructing’ grant budgets, Janell was in private practice as a Marriage & Family Therapist for 26+ years in Omaha. She relocated in 2005 to Houston with her husband for 5 years. Following her husband’s passion to return to his early days of farming & getting back to Janell’s farming roots they ‘retired’ to the Arlington area. Retirement includes raising corn, soybeans, cattle & mowing 10 acres of lawn! They have 6 children & 3 ½ grandchildren
