Gretchen Bren has been the executive director of the Rotary Club of Omaha since June 2007. She became a Rotarian when taking the position, but her husband Gary has been getting her involved in club projects and the club web site since he joined in 2000. Both are Paul Harris Fellows and Benefactors and have been married for 24 years, no children, one cat. Both are also active in Rotary Leadership Institute as facilitators.
Professionally, Gretchen has worked in the computer industry doing training, programing and web design for 28 years. She is a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Master Instructor and Microsoft Certified Professional.
Gretchen has been to Africa 4 different times to help with polio immunizations in three different countries: In November 2008, 2010 and 2012, Gretchen participated in the Kaduna, Nigeria State Immunization Day teams and in 2011 went to Mali and Chad on immunization and publicity trips. She is currently the webmaster for the Polio Survivors and Associates Rotarian Action Group (www.rotarypoliosurvivors.org) and is serving her fourth year as District 5650 Polio Chair.
