Rotary – October 14, 2016 – Jerry Tobias – Pilot; U.S. Air Force, Corporations, Airlines; Highlights of his career and lessons learned through aviation.

Dear Rotarians

The program this week promises to be another exceptional one.  Our Rotarian hosts have been doing a great job of finding outstanding presentations.  We’ve had one no-show and one who got sick the day before her appearance, but I’m been told that she will be here another Friday. After the no-show Mark Shepard filled in quite well and two Fridays ago one of Chief Elliott’s Detectives did the same. I am greatly appreciative of both efforts. Thanks guys!

As for Friday, Brain Newton, our host, has lined up a genuinely talented individual whose career has encompassed being a percussionist with the Ft Worth and Dallas Symphony Orchestras early after college, and then going on to being a pilot with the U.S.Air Force; with corporations; and with airlines.  He has flown supersonic trainers and Boeing 747s over the span of his 38 year flying career.  A pretty interesting person I’d guess. His name is Jerry Tobias. Jerry is an honorary member of the Rotary club in Kiryat Shmona, Israel.  He’s going to speak to us about some of the highlights of his career and lessons he has learned through aviation. I’m thinking this is a program you won’t want to miss.
