President’s Comments – Week of October 5, 2015

Dear Rotarians,

I want to thank Darrell Puls for filling in for me last week when I was out of town. I am told he did an excellent job which does not surprise me in the least.

is week the Rotary host is Wayne McGillick, and his guest speaker is Leslie McCuiston who is a Senior Production Manager with The Maschhoffs, LLC. Her topic is Farming and Food. Leslie works with the company’s breed-to-ween division located in Columbus, NE and is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 11,000 sows. Maschhoffs, LLC produces pork and chicken products and is headquartered in St. Louis, MO. This sounds like an interesting program, so please mark your calendar and try to attend.

Also, Todd Niehaus will be inducted as a new member this Friday. I am also pleased to announce that Rev. Greg Hall, the Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Fremont, is proposed as a new member by Carter Burnside. Greg has received board approval, so I am submitting his name to the general membership for consideration. If you vote yes, you do nothing. Only respond if you vote nay. I have known Greg for a number of years, and can attest to his character and believe he would make an excellent Rotarian. If your vote is nay, I need to know that no later than Friday at meeting time.

Hope you all have a great week, enjoy the weather if possible, and I hope to see you at Rotary on Friday.

Sincerely,

Gary Bolton
