Fremont’s Football Coaches

SETH McCLAIN is in his fifth year as the Head Football Coach at Fremont High.  Prior to that he was the football coach at Schuyler for two years and an assistant at Burke High in Omaha.  Currently, Seth also teaches science and is an assistant with the track team, working with discus and shotput.  Seth is married to Katie  and they are the parents of four children, 10 years old and younger.  A job he admits is much harder than coaching 100 young men.

SETH MRUZ has held the position of Head Football Coach at Archbishop Bergan High  School for 3 years where he has taught for 6 years. He  teaches history and social studies to 7th through 12th graders. He also serves as assistant baseball coach. Seth is a graduate of Bergan and Nebraska Wesleyan University and played football at both schools .He and his wife, Morgan,  live in Fremont with their 100 lb. black lab, Scout.

JOSH GEHRING is in his fourth year at the helm of the Midland University Warriors.  Prior to his time at Midland,  Josh served as offensive coordinator at Morningside College and was named the Football Coaches Association’s NAIA  Assistant Coach of the Year.  Josh also had 2 years coaching quarterbacks at Division III three time National Champion , University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Josh holds a bachelors from Ottawa University in Kansas and a Master’s from Ball State University. Josh and his wife, Jenny, have two children, Jersey and Cash.
