President’s Comments – August 21, 2015

Dear Rotarians,

The Rotary host this week is Steve Navarrette, and his guest speaker is Glen Ellis, the CEO of Sycamore Leaf Solutions which provides web-based school management systems to K-12 schools with its product Sycamore Education. The topic for his presentation will be the Fremont Creative Collective and Sycamore Solutions. The Fremont Creative Collective involves a coding camp for anyone desiring to learn more about computer programming. This sounds like a very interesting topic.

I hope you have noticed in our weekly bulletin the section entitled “Open for Business.” This is an opportunity for you to promote your business. So far, we only have a handful of Rotarians taking advantage of this opportunity. In order to do so, all you have to do is write a brief summary of what your business is all about, and keep it to two or three short paragraphs so it fits in the space allowed in the bulletin. Then forward it to me via email, and I will get it to Emanuel Printing and your summary will go in the pool as we rotate through the businesses each week.   Next time you attend a meeting, take a look at this section in order to have an idea of what your summary should look like.

Bill Dugan would have won close to $50 last week in the drawing, however he was not in attendance. The drawing this week should be around $60.

Have a great week, and hope to see you Friday at Rotary.
