President’s Weekly Comments – August 14, 2015

August 11, 2015

Dear Rotarians,

We had great attendance last week at Rotary, and I know those who attended enjoyed the program. Amy Weidner, the daughter of Darrell and Myrna Puls, shared information and slides with us on her mission trip to Nicaragua. She did an excellent job, and I know I learned some things I did not know before as I am sure each person in attendance did also.

This week, the host is Nick Lamme, and his guest speaker is Judge F. A. Gossett. He is the current United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Nebraska, and a former Dodge County Attorney. This should really be an excellent program, so please mark your calendar and plan to attend. If you have a friend or relative you think might also enjoy this program, please invite them to come along with you. In fact, I encourage you to invite someone to Rotary anytime you feel they might find the program for the week to be interest. This gives others a chance to also see what we do at Rotary.

Remember the Rotary Fly-In Pancake Breakfast is Sunday, August 23rd. Be sure you get your raffle tickets sold and also your Pancake Breakfast tickets. Turn your money (and the stubs for the raffle tickets) in to Dave Hartmann at Yost Law Office, or bring them to the Rotary meeting and I will see they get to Dave for you. Indicate on your check whether or not the money is for the raffle or the breakfast so we can keep things straight. This is also true for the cash you turn in.

Shelly Sandeen will be bringing our Brazilian exchange student to the meeting this week along with her host mother. Yasmin arrived last Saturday, and is attending classes at Fremont High School.

We will also induct Chris Wormuth into Rotary this Friday. We certainly look forward to having him as a member of our club.

See you Friday,

Gary Bolton
